ORDERING GUIDE

Call on us 07447 062 290 or 07930 532 618 to book a date & time to suite you (Landline coming soon). Our designer will come to your address to do a site survey, discussing your requirements & take measurements of the space.

'The London Craftsman' do not employ sales people; we simply provide you with a quotation for the design discussed. Feel free to contact us with any queries or to book another visit to help you make the best decision.

 

Via the online form:

By completing the online form in our CONTACT US page , you can provide basic measurements and information. This enables us to be able to email you back a drawing & quotation for the work described. We may contact you to clarify some points, or to book another appointment if its more complicated work. Should you choose to proceed with us, we will always visit you to take measurements, going over all details with you in person. Deposit:

Once you have made the decision to proceed with our quotation, we will require a 50% deposit to secure the installation date(s). Also if required, we will book another visit closer to the time of installation to go through all of the details & measurements, to ensure you are 100% happy with the units ordered. We accept bank transfer, cash, & cheques as forms of payment.  We currently do not have the facility to take credit cards at this moment.

 

Construction:

Soon after the re-measure & design details are complete, the plans are taken to the workshop for construction to start. We aim to have all works completed and painted (depending on the finish required) one week prior to the installation date,  ensuring the units are dry & ready to go out for the installation without any delay. We may contact you to confirm some details or to make suggestions in the design, if the construction process brings to light any unforeseen snags or opportunities for improvement.

 

Installation:

On the morning of your installation, our installation team will leave our Watford workshop at 7:00AM & make their way to your home for an 8AM start.

We will need you to move as much as you are able to out of the room or rooms we are working in. Any larger, awkward or heavy items will be moved by our team. They will cover the room with floor protection & dust sheets before any materials or tools are brought in. The more furniture we can get out of the room the better, as it will free up valueable working space.  The average pair of alcove units, bookcases or wardrobes will take two installers, one day to fit. If you have opted for the fully painted finish, the final coat of paint is finished the following day.

Decoration:

There are many options for the finish of your units, the most popular being a painted finish. We apply a total of four coats of paint in our workshop (two primer coats and two top coats)

This will all be done in our workshop prior to fitting. 

 

Final payment:

Once the units have been installed and you are 100% happy with the work, the final payment may be made.  We accept bank transfer, cash & cheques as forms of payment. We currently do not have the facility to take credit cards.
